NAMM Show 2018 Show report

As the world’s largest international exhibition of music and audio technology, the NAMM Show is an annual tradition for hundreds of thousands of industry professionals. Following the lure of winter sunshine and major product launches, they make the journey to Anaheim, California every January for a trade show where professionals share the aisles with music royalty including Stevie Wonder.

This year, the NAMM Show introduced an entirely refreshed format including a new wing of the Anaheim Convention Centre, named ACC North, which was dedicated to professional audio and live sound. It was only fitting that TW AUDiO was front and centre in the new space, making its NAMM Show debut in style with one of the new space’s largest and most impressive booths.

With so many new attractions at the show it was hardly surprising that a record-busting attendance of more than 115,000 people poured into the convention centre over the show’s four days. While some of them headed for the MI halls, stuffed with guitars and drums, a huge number made their way straight to the audio hall and the loudspeakers within.

Awaiting them at the premium address of booth 18101 was a wealth of TW AUDiO technologies plus members of the team from three continents, all led by the inimitable Phil Van Peborgh of TW AUDiO Americas.

Attendees were given the opportunity to learn about the power and adaptability of VERA vertical arrays, as well as our famously flexible T Series horn-loaded enclosures for multiple applications. The coaxial C Series was also on the booth, including the remarkably compact but powerful C5, and the multi-purpose, pole-mountable C12 and C15. Finally, the multi-functional M-Series offered an insight into the breadth of projects for which TW AUDiO can cater.

Because this was the inaugural year of the new NAMM Show, few exhibitors knew what to expect once the doors opened to ACC North and its hall full of pro sound exhibitors. The result for TW AUDiO was an overwhelming success. With plans already underway for TW AUDiO’s return to Anaheim in January 2019, we invite you to ask yourself a simple question: wouldn’t you like a little winter Californian sun next January? We hope to see you there!
