Only a few days now until the most important event in the industry: the prolight & sound! We have big ambitions for the 2010 trade fair, so we are delighted to be able to introduce three new products there. Three speakers which once again live up completely to our "subdued" philosophy. In this respect, many new combination possibilities with the existing TW AUDiO systems have been opened up so many exciting things to talk about at our trade fair stand.
TW AUDiO systems are also present in the outside Concert Sound Arena this year. The PA-SYS-ONE and VERA-SYS-ONE systems, as well as the new BSX Subwoofer and the VERA Low-Mid Extension L24, can all be heard live at these times:
Daily: 10:20 a.m. - 10:40 a.m., 1:00 p.m. - 1:20 p.m., 3:40 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

And here some short introductions to the three new products.
Big Subwoofer Extension - BSX
the new 2 x 21" bass does not appear small at first glance, and you´re right. "Theyre building yet another huge bass system!" is what youll say. Thats also right. But when youve heard it, youll agree: "Subdued" also fits the BSX, as "subdued" is the maxim for development which brings together the parameters of size, weight, performance and flexibility. At this point we shouldnt start bringing the big talk, we prefer to just leave that to the BSX: You can experience it at the times stated above in the PLSs Concert Sound Arena connected to our PA-SYS-ONE and VERA-SYS-ONE systems.
VERA L24 Low-Mid Extender
Measuring 2 x 12", the VERA L24 is a hybrid construction with a high level of effectiveness at frequency levels between 60 and 300 Hz. As an addition to the Vera10, it provides addition power in the base tones. The L24 can either be used in the VERA10 array or as a side extension to the array, as well as also be implemented in a stack unit. It is the same height as two Vera10 elements.
Expansion to the M series: the M6
With the M6 we are widening our range of renowned M series products. In all places where the M8 is still too big is where the M6 definitely finds its place. You can hide it so easily. Although you donít have to, as, with the same imposing high tone quality in the M8 and a markedly powerful 6.5" driver unit, the smaller unit definitely punches above its weight! Can be combined, naturally, with all TW AUDiO subs.
09.03.2010 VERA meets BSX & S24
It's well known that starting a text is always the hardest bit, but it's especially true when I'm reporting not only an event, but also something that I myself experienced. But Tobias Wüstner was emphatic: "Marco, this has to go in the news!"
Well, dear reader, I'll write it the way I felt it; anything else just would not be authentic, so the news has more of a blog-character this time.
What is the "something" that I want to tell you about? Well...
Last Saturday, the "Troglauer Baum" performed in the Strohofer Autohof Event Hall in Geiselwind. I have supported the band since 2004, with both technology and friendship. Having decided, long before my time as a marketing man at TW AUDiO, on a TW AUDiO system, I had already done more than 200 jobs with the VERA10. Back to Saturday though, 06.03.2010, and the Troglauers:
Although some may, hearing the name, pigeonhole the music as "traditional folk", that would be a mistake. The music is dominated by hard riffs and rock sound rather than homely, down-to-earth tones.
The band, having become of the most successful party acts in southern Germany attracted, despite the renewed onset of winter, more than 3500 visitors to the event hall last Saturday.
Until then, I had expected it to be a normal job for my equipment: putting out sound for an audience of 2000+ people is standard enough, with 8 to 10 VERA10 elements on each side. It turned out to be anything but a standard job. In addition to my 24 VERA tops, I'd brought some new products: 8 of the S24 mid-bass extender, and the first BSX subwoofer. Tobias Wüstner brought the beta pattern along and, after comparing the levels and durations of each individual component, plus area-specific equalization of the system achieved with the help of EASERA systune, he had the system, driven by 10 Powersoft K3DSP amps, ready to play.
Even just using our CD test sample, I thought "Wow, that sounds really big!" And so it was, in the evening, with the band.
An already powerful system had been transformed, with the S24 mid-bass booster, into a fierce, yet well-controllable, rock'n'roll system. The fundamental tone content was significantly expanded, and it was just great fun experimenting with the MH-3 faders and hearing how the system responded!
The BSX was a source of amazement for me and the whole crew: "Double twenty-one? And this much punch?" This question/realisation came again and again, accompanied by technician friends who took up residence for the evening. Even the organizer, Manfred Strohofer, was very impressed, and kept stroking our FOH console ang giving us the thumbs-up with "It sounds equally great everywhere!" A very nice compliment, because the hall, at 65m long and 35m wide, was hardly a piece of cake relative to the equipment we were using.
As far as I'm concerned, the baptism of fire of both the S24 and the BSX went extremely well. I'm already looking forward to Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt, where I'll be happy to tell you more about my experiences, because, in the next few weeks, I will again submit these components to the "No-Mercy-Hardcore-Rock'n'Roll-Touring-Test.

“We are family”- the motto of the TW AUDiO demo days could also be clearly felt on this day, as our new customer support centre "BSS event technology” allows our “sales family” to grow further. Situated directly on the A3 motorway and only approx. 45 minutes to the west of Frankfurt/Main by car, we were able to secure a new company with dedicated colleagues as a partner of TW AUDiO.BSS has already pointed the way with the organisation and preliminary work and an additional, very successful demo day was an excellent start for our cooperation. Therefore we would like to express many thanks to Markus and Manuel Schlimm, Christian Brötz and of course all of the employees of BSS.
We would also like thank the countless visitors who have shown an exceptional interest in the TW AUDiO loud speakers and systems. Many sound and comparison tests took place in the town house of Eschhofen in a pleasant atmosphere. The guests were able to get an impressive picture of Plug 'n'Play systems and individual components. Questions and topics concerning installation, amping etc were discussed extensively in deep conversations with the "expert staff" of BSS and the two product specialists from TW AUDiO, Michael Möhlke and Manuel Joers.
As well as the loud speakers of the M series and the system combinations, it was also possible to listen to our new BSX subwoofer.
The many positive reactions of the specialist visitors to the new 2 x 21 subwoofer were a reason to be pleased: As an extension to VERA-SYS-ONE or PA-SYS-ONE, the BSX is particularly able to flex its “muscles” in the infra-sub area. Also available as a “stand-alone” option and in direct cooperation with the T24 or the VERA1O it manages all ranges up to clearly sounding 120Hz. Thus, it was comprehensible that many of those interested could barely be held back and that they would have gladly taken the largest “family member” of our product range home with them, however that would not have happened. The subwoofer is expected to be available from the prolight+sound trade fair.
We hope to see many of those present again at this year’s prolight+sound and we look forward to many good discussions at our stand A16 in hall 8.0.
