10.02.2009 2009-02-04./05. Amadeus - classic meets rock - Vera10 did it!

Under the motto “Classics meet Rock” the Hofer-Symphoniker delighted numerous spectators at the start of February with the Pop Rock band Radspitz in the sold-out Freiheitshalle in the Upper Franconian city of Hof .

The PA-system situation was not exactly run of the mill, 60 input signals from the orchestra and band had to be mixed together and simultaneously broadcast into the 50 x 50m large hall holding about 4,000 spectators with its ceiling high staging.

The LSP-Veranstaltungstechnik company from Upper Franconia , who was responsible for all the technology, carried out this task with a TW AUDiO PA-system.
A total of 2 x 14 VERA10 elements, 6 S30 flown subwoofers, 2 T24 horn tops for the outside areas, 8 B30 subwoofers on the floor as well as 6 M8 multi function loudspeakers placed on the front edge of the stage were used for the near-field. The complete system was powered by just 5 Hoellstern Delta12.DSP system amplifiers.

Managing Director Cenk Uzun:
"I have been a fan of TW AUDiO since my first encounter with T24/B30 loudspeakers in 2004. The decision to invest in them was made easy by the thoroughly positive tests, the option of being able to lease TW AUDiO systems from colleagues and friends as well as the excellent TW AUDiO image on the market."

Sound engineer Harry Tröger , responsible for mixing at “Amadeus rocks”: “This loudspeaker system is great fun, the orchestra sounds totally soft, warm and natural. The resolution in the high frequency range is fantastic. I cannot remember ever having had so much gain before feedback with any classics production before. I can open up the orchestra microphones so far that I can stand at the FoH and clap and it can be heard from the PA without it coupling, now that is impressive! The system coverage is super even, there is almost no difference in sound from the first to the last row at 40m distance and 8m height! The transition to outfills for the front side areas was absolutely unnoticeable.”

11.12.2008 Anniversary event for Austria's mobile phone provider A1 in Vienna

On 11 th December 2008 the anniversary event for the Austrian mobile phone provider A1 took place at Auteno in Vienna .

Our Austrian sales partner, Musik Paradies GmbH was commissioned with the technical planning and implementation.

The PA-system for the 1,500 invited guests at Auteno in Vienna had to be perfectly implemented over three levels. TW AUDiO loudspeakers and systems were used exclusively for this purpose.

A total of 20 VERA10 vertical array elements were used for the main PA- system. These were set up in 4 flown clusters each with 5 tops. 8 VERA S30 subwoofers were used as sub-bass extension. Only 3 Hoellstern Delta12.DSP system amplifiers were needed for the main PA-system. The near-field and delay PA-system was realised with a total of 4 M12 and 14 M8 multi function loudspeakers.

The monitoring for Austria 's most famous Soul & Funk band the “Hot Pants Road Club” as well as the Ö3 DJ “Alex List” was convincingly realised with 7 M12 and 4 M15 loudspeakers.

The engineer responsible for the sound technology, Rainer Schober, said:
“The sound is amazingly good for this old and really high industrial hall. The 8 subs also play flawlessly and impressively on a Delta12.DSP. We already used the TW AUDiO systems last year for this event. If we should also win the bid again next year TW AUDiO will also definitely be joining us again.”

29.11.2008 2008.11.29 Vera10 Glaspalast Sindelfingen

About 4,000 visitors attended the concert by the Croatian Folk Rock star "KBB Bijelo Dugme" in the Sindelfingen Glaspalast at the end of November.

The Zürich event service provider EKATON had the task of the event's PA-system.
2 x 14 VERA10 line array modules as well as 24 B30 subs were used in cardioid pattern as the front PA-system. Several TW AUDiO M12, M15, B15 and T24 systems were used for infill, outfill and monitoring. All loudspeakers were powered by Hoellstern Delta12.DSP system amplifiers.

Sound engineer Edis Kahrimanovic:
"My initial scepticism about whether this system, which seems so tiny in the large hall, would really be sufficiently big enough was already proven to be unfounded the first time a CD was played. The directness of the mid-frequency and the attack of the drums impressed me with the sound check in the empty hall. The VERA system's high frequency reproduction is outstanding. The coverage and distribution of sound levels was exceptionally even. Even at the end of the hall at 65 m distance from the PA the sound was still true to detail and very well-balanced. By the start of the concert the system was able to really demonstrate its full potential when it had to compete against the audience screaming at 105 dBA. Totally impressive for such a small system!”

07.06.2008 2008-06-07 Car-ball-EM in the sold-out Cologne Arena with TW AUDiO

Just before the football European Championships the Car-ball-EM took place in the sold-out Cologne Arena.

The toneheads company from Cologne was commissioned with the PA-system planning and implementation.

toneheads had already invested in TW AUDiO loudspeakers at the start of 2007 and with them had realised various TV events “Fightnight”, “Turmspringen”, “Wok-WM” and many more.

More than 150 TW AUDiO loudspeakers were used at Autoball-EM .

The main PA-system was realised with 96 VERA10 vertical array elements and 24 S30 subwoofers, which were placed around the playing field in 8 flown clusters with 12 tops each and 3 subs on 3 sides. All 96 VERA10 tops were active two-way powered by just 8 four channel Hoellstern DELTA12.DSP system amplifiers with integrated loudspeaker management.

Günter Schwob – Technical Director at toneheads – had simulated the PA-system situation in advance with EASE Focus and ascertained the loudspeaker constellation. The set-up was realised in cooperation with Multisound from Erzhausen, where Claus Breidert was responsible for system engineering. After set-up measurements were carried out with EASERA Sys tune at various positions which confirmed the simulation projections.

Several TW AUDiO M series full range loudspeakers were used for the PA-system of various adjacent areas.

The complete monitoring of the show stage for Udo Lindenberg and Shaggy was realised with M15.

toneheads Managing Director Frank Nachtigall:

“We converted to TW AUDiO M15 at the start of 2007 as we were convinced by the sound performance in conjunction with the sophisticated accessories. The flying brackets e.g. can be simply assembled without tools by means of a ratchet mechanism. The M15 are light, compact and suitable for full range.

In July 2007 I then had the pleasure of listening to a small VERA10 pre-series system one of the first times it was used, it was pretty impressive and I ordered immediately on site.

In the meantime we have done several shows with the systems and gained quite a bit of experience. To summarise it is like this, the VERA10 system makes PA-system life so much easier because we can achieve optimal results with very little material. The system is inconspicuous, compact, sounds like a huge Hi-Fi system and still offers enough sound level reserves. Exactly the right tool for our PA-system jobs.

With the DELTA12.DSP system amps we can for example operate 4 monitor paths today, a VERA10 system including subwoofers tomorrow and directed sub-bass arrays the day after tomorrow evenly and without any additional controllers. The system set-ups are simply switched over via PC and can also be completely switched off for full range applications. That is very practical”.

Recently Coma Media GmbH from Dormagen also invested in a TW AUDiO VERA10 system so there are now already two VERA10 partners present in the Cologne area.

22.05.2008 22.05.2008MULTISOUND extends its range of PA-system technology with products by TW AUDiO

Multisound

TW AUDiO VERA10 masters the applications of first-class classics as well as demanding TV productions with flair.

As a beta-tester the MULTISOUND company from Erzhausen had already thoroughly tested out the first pre-series models of the VERA10 module in practice in the middle of 2007. Amongst other things at several classical concerts as part of the Darmstädter Residenzfestspiele. 1,600 guests experienced the official premiere of the system at the Mannheim Exhibition and Congress Centre “Rosengarten”. Since then MULTISOUND has been successfully using the series version of VERA10 modules.

In cooperation with Toneheads from Cologne MULTISOUND has already implemented several PA-systems as a sub-contractor in the field of TV large productions. The synergy effect between the companies is the result of the fact that Toneheads has also invested in TW AUDiO products.

With VERA10 MULTISOUND has also made people sit up and listen internationally: at the concert by Milva in the “darmstadtium” congress centre the Italian FOH engineer was audibly enthusiastic about the system's sound and performance: “I don't like this system, I love it !”

Claus Breidert, Managing Director responsible for the PA-system area at MULTISOUND: "The VERA10 has convinced all those involved with demanding PA-systems with all types of music and languages. What is remarkable above all is the crystal-clear and wide ranging high-frequency reproduction as well as the full range suitability of the extremely compact line arrays. With this system we are able to provide PA-systems also for first-class events from 10 to 10,000 people."

32 VERA10 are immediately available from the MULTISOUND portfolio. The investment is complemented by VERA S15 and VERA S30 flyable subwoofers as well as corresponding accessories.
In addition MULTISOUND is also acquiring T24 top parts and the associated B30 subwoofer from TW AUDiO.
